Best Buy will stop selling CDs by July

The compact disk is growing to become more and more obsolete.

According to Billboard Magazine, Best Buy told suppliers that all CDs will be pulled from their stores by July 1st.  With the increase of mobile devices and mp3, many music lovers have transitioned from CDs to music subscriptions such as: Pandora, Spotify and Apple Music

“At one point, Best Buy was the most powerful music merchandiser in the U.S., but nowadays it’s a shadow of its former self, with a reduced and shoddy offering of CDs,” Billboard reported. “Sources suggest that the company’s CD business is nowadays only generating about $40 million annually.”
