Have you ever wondered what will it be like to be a privileged, well-educated White man in Atlanta? Well Atlanta mayoral candidate, Peter Aman, wants to show city of Atlanta residents what it is like, and how he can be better mayor because of it.
Aman posted this Instagram photo on Labor Day with the following quote, “On this Labor Day, I jotted down a few thoughts on the privilege of being a well-educated white male and why I’m running for mayor of Atlanta.”
Minutes later after perhaps realizing what he just communicated to his Instagram followers, Amana erased the post and replaced it with the following text, “We can and must make Atlanta a safe, thriving and united city for the people of al ages and incomes. Our collective future depends on it.”
Aman’s initial “White privilege” post was erased, but not before Fulton County Commissioner, Marvin Arrington, Jr, was able to screenshot the post and share with his followers on Facebook.
