The word on Peachtree is that, Norman Kyle, of the popular R&B group, Jagged Edge, founded by famed Atlanta based producer, Jermaine Dupri, was arrested early Thursday morning for aggravated assault on his fiance.
Several media outlets are reporting that Norman had beaten his fiance so several that she had a golf ball sized knot on her head, a blood clot in her right eye and he even forced her to swallow her engagement ring.
Police was called to the 200 block of Peters Street of the Castleberry District and found an unidentified woman that the responding officer noted was visibly shaken. The woman told the police officer that Norman was upset about an argument about drinking and told her, “she was going to die tonight,” the police officer wrote in his report.
Norman was not at the residence at the time when the police officer arrived, but he was later spotted running down the sidewalk. The police officer reported when he caught up with Norman, he stopped running and turned around and yelled, “I need to go to jail.”
He went on to tell the officer that he was upset that his father has cancer and that’s what had him so mad at his fiance. Norman is currently being held in the Fulton County jail at least until Friday morning for his first court appearance. He is facing a charge of aggravated assault.
