Marietta couple found dead in South Georgia

(Last Updated On: January 28, 2015)

Bud and June Runion traveled to South Georgia to view a 1966 Mustang that they were considering buying, but after going missing for the past four days, their dead bodies were found in South Georgia.

Sheriff Chris Steverson of Telfair County said, “t’s a sad ending for us in this community.  “We’ve got a close-knit community here. It hurts us to know that someone came to our community and met this fate.”

Ronnie “Jay” Adrian Towns, a suspect in the Runions missing persons case, surrendered himself to the Telfair County Sheriff’s Department Monday.  Towns wanted for giving false statements and criminal attempt to commit theft by deception.  Towns is currently the only person that they are seeking and his charges could be upgraded.
