The word on Peachtree is that Atlanta natives, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, of the multi-platinum R&B group, TLC, is getting together to do their final album, and they have started a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to seek your help as fans to support them.
Since releasing their debut album in, “Oooo0000h… On The TLC Tip,” TLC has become the most successful female group of all time, not only R&B, but outselling any group female imaginable within any genre of music. Their accomplishments include: ten top 10 singles, over 65 million records sold worldwide, all four of their albums have gone multi-platinum, four Grammys and more.
Previously signed to Arista Records as a trio, Left “Lisa” Eye in 1999 while visiting Honduras, the two ladies decided to go about this final album independently to maintain creative control and have final say on how the album should be done to appeal to their loyal fans: Left Eye is not expected to have any vocals on this album. They are seeking to raise the amount of $150.000 and is currently in the amount of $53,712 with 475 supporters, and have until February 19, 2015 at 12pm to make their goals.
