After being cared for the past four days, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is finally finding the opportunity to interview the wife shoot by her husband, Chief William McCollom, the Peachtree City Police Chief.
Early New Year’s Day, Chief McCollom called 911 to report that he shots his wife, Margaret. McCollom initially told investigators that he accidentally shot his wife as he was trying to move the gun out of the bed. McCollom story would later change when telling investigators that the couple was asleep in the bed and the gun went off.
Margret’s condition has improved these past few days and the GBI is looking forward to interviewing her to get her side of the story. Chief William McCollum is on paid administrative leave as the GBI investigates the shooting.
