Marvin Ellison set to become CEO of JCPenney

After spending 0ver 12 years with America’s biggest home improvement retailer, Executive Vice President, Marvin Ellison, will be leaving Home Depot to become the President/CEO of JCPenney.

Ellison will start working with JCPenney on November 1st, but he will not become President/CEO until current President/CEO, Myron “Mike” Ullman, steps down on August 15th.  Ulman will also then become the Executive Chairman of JCPenney’s board.

Ulman released the following statement, “It is a great pleasure to welcome Marvin Ellison to JCPenney.  Over the course of his career, he has proven his ability to produce results by improving operations, building customer loyalty and motivating his teams.”
