After a long strenuous wait, Clayton County residents will now have the opportunity to vote whether or not to bring the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority to the area.
Residents will be voting in November to be charged an extra penny sales tax to be provided MARTA service. If the vote is successful, residents will initially be provided a limited bus service that is set to start in March of 2015. In the meantime, a much broader service that will include bus and rapid transit will follow after properly researching and planning.
DeKalb and Fulton Counties must also approve a vote as well.
