Off-duty Atlanta Police Officer held at gunpoint and carjacked

Various local media outlets are reporting that an off-duty Atlanta Police Officer was held at gunpoint early Sunday morning and carjacked.

The officer was traveling along Ponce De Leon in Midtown when he was stopped by a traffic light at the Argonne Ave, NE intersection.  While at the light a man walked up to his vehicle and pulled out a gun, and demanded the officer to get out of the car.  The officer had a pistol underneath his seat, but was unable to retrieve it.

The suspect drive away with the car without harming the officer, and the car was later found that day.
