UPS set to purchase two Central America companies

(Last Updated On: September 5, 2013)

The Atlanta based UPS has announced that they are working to close the purchases of two Costa Rica delivery companies to help expand their operations in the Central America region.

Union Pak de Costa Rica S.A. and SEISA Brokerage are two companies that UPS had already been working with before as authorized service contractors.

UPS’s goal of putting this deal together is to give Costa Ricans one source for all of their shipping needs: small package delivery, freight forwarding and logistics.  UPS did not disclose their purchasing price for both companies, and the sale is expected to close during the fourth quarter of this year.
