Atlanta Hawks new head coach, Mike Budenholzer, is already making media buzz and the NBA season has not even started yet.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that Budenholzer was driving his Audi A8 in Midtown Wednesday night when he was pulled over by a Georgia State Trooper for not having his tail lights on. The Trooper, Johnathon Nelms, wrote in the incident report, “as I spoke with him, I noticed that he had bloodshot and watery eyes and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath.”
Budenholzer was given a field sobriety test and refused a breath test. Budenholzer was arrested for DUI and a tail light violation, and was released on $1,524 bond and released early Thursday morning.
