(Last Updated On: August 16, 2013)

The Falcons blew a three quarter lead Thursday night against the defending 2013 Superbowl  champs, Baltimore Ravens.   The Falcons had a total of 422 yards, and beating the Ravens in yardage by 173; domintaing the time of possession with 39:40.

This the Falcons second straight preseason game.  The Falcons’s receiver, Roddy White, had to exit the game with an ankle injury, the is no word yet of a return.  The final score of the game was 23-27.

Coach Mike SMith had the following words with the media after the game:

“Our goal tonight was to improve in the areas that we felt like we needed to improve from week 1. I thought that we did that. There were some things in the Cincinnati (Bengals) game that we wanted to make sure that we addressed. We wanted to improve our run game; I thought we did a nice job of running the ball in the first half. We did a good job with the pass protection as well. We’re a team that prides itself on not being penalized, and we had way too many penalties in the ball game. I think we had nine penalties, a lot of procedural penalties that need to get corrected.”
